Jennifer Sasaki

Hi, my name is Jennifer Sasaki and I’m a License Marriage and Family Therapist. I completed my undergraduate work at Arizona State University, where I majored in Criminal Justice studies as I worked towards becoming a judge, but God had a different plan for my life. As I began my own journey of recovery from personal trauma, I became acutely aware that I have a heart for the hurting and a God given empathy that helps me connect quickly with people. This revelation propelled me to pursue my current passion as a therapist, so I completed a graduate program in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University.

I have worked in various therapeutic settings in the southern California area and currently have a private practice in Newport Beach, California. Out of this private practice I began running process groups for women through which I saw the value of healing through the development of relationships in a safe and accepting environment. This lead me to search for more opportunities to be a part of the group process healing model. When I discovered the work that was being done through the Growth Skills programs, I felt drawn to be a part of what God was doing through them. As a result, I’ve been blessed to be a group facilitator and have enjoyed beyond measure the experiences I have had facilitating at Empower Now, UL and OWI.

On the personal side, I’ve been married for 24 years and have 4 children. My eldest is a daughter who is currently in a post-baccalaureate program working towards medical school. Then I have three boys, all attending college together. One is a sophomore and I have twin freshman boys. They all play water polo for the university. In my free time, if you don’t find me reading or sitting at the beach, you can find me on the pool deck watching water polo, hiking with my husband and australian shepard, Riley or perusing the local farmer’s market.
